Within the HTML editor, the Paste as plain text option allows you to paste text from another source without the formatting.
This option is useful if you cannot use the original formatting or wish to reformat your item from scratch.
Using the Internet Explorer Browser

Open a document in another application such as Microsoft Word. Select the text or other content you wish to copy.
Note: The copy function is usually under the Edit menu in most applications or you can press Control+C (Windows) or Command+C (Macintosh).
- In ANGEL within the HTML editor, place your cursor in the new location for the content.

Click the down arrow next to the Paste button and select Paste as plain text.

An Internet Explorer message box will open asking for access to the clipboard, click the Allow Access option. The text will be pasted with all formatting removed.

Using the Firefox Browser
The procedure is identical to the Internet Explorer procedure except that after you select Paste as plain text, a Paste as Plain Text pop-up window opens.
After the window opens, paste your text within the text box by pressing Control+V (Windows) or Command+V (Macintosh), then click the OK button to close the pop-up window.
